GENERAL INTRODUCTION
Hoa My commune was established on the basis of arranging the entire natural area and population size of Hoa My Dong commune (old) and Hoa My Tay commune (old) according to Resolution No. 1660/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated June 16, 2025 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, officially coming into operation from July 1, 2025. After the arrangement, Hoa My commune has 13 villages with a total natural area of 190.14 km2 and a population of 26,530 people; located in the eastern plain of Dak Lak province, conveniently connected to National Highway 25 and provincial road DT645, being the gateway for trade between the economic regions of the coastal provinces of the Central region and the Central Highlands.
The commune has natural conditions, a temperate climate, a rich system of streams, lakes and dams, favorable for the development of ecological agriculture, experiential tourism and resorts. In particular, the scenic cluster of Huong Mountain - Huong Pagoda - Bau Huong is a landscape complex with high historical, cultural and spiritual values, recognized as a provincial relic, with special appeal to tourists inside and outside the region. In particular, the historical relic site of the Cau Chay battle (Phu Thuan village) is the pride of the Party Committee, government and people of Hoa My - a vivid demonstration of patriotism, a valuable source of material to educate revolutionary traditions for today's and future generations.
